I won works by Daizie Draper and J. Gordon Smith!

I am one of those people who enter many contests during their lives but rarely win anything. On December 25 and then on December 26th, I got the ultimate experience of winning two contests. I will be reading all material and submitting reviews to appropriate places as well as blogging about them.

These made my Christmas brighter. For some reason this year, it didn’t feel like Christmas. It felt empty and I’m not the only one who felt it. We got great things, gave greater things, enjoyed each other’s presence, prayed over our departed loved ones and wanted for nothing. Except I knew of people in pain in this world and my Grandma is in pain from something we can’t figure out and I hate it. I hate the fact that I can’t help her, that I can’t remove her pain or soothe her at all.  My Christmas spirit was overwhelmed with frustration.  I’m blessed to have all that I have in my life and I am so very thankful, I just wish I could heal her and others.  I’m not asking to be God, I don’t want that responsibility but I do want to help my Grandma who deserves it.

On 12/26/13 I was among a handful of people to win a set of a 5 novella Collection, Sorority Pledge Saga 1-5 by author Daizie Draper.

Here is what the email said, along with asking what format I preferred.

“Hi. Congratulations! You won a copy of my 5-novella Collections, Sorority Pledge Saga 1-5. It is the first five books in a steamy romance that follows the journey of college students, Addison and Logan, who immerse themselves in BDSM and sexual experimentation for the first time.”

Thank you for this great set of books.  I will be reviewing this Saga after reading them. The set is available from Amazon for $2.99 at the time of this post. Colleen

  1. Do you listen to audiobooks? I’m converting my first novel to that format, and I’m looking for Beta “readers” to listen to it. The finished audiobook will be distributed free to vision-impaired persons. You would receive free chapters by e-mail as I finish converting them from text to speech. Chapters range from 25 to 35 minutes in length. The first audiobook edition is “read” in United Kingdom English. I am looking for feedback on the pronunciation and understandability of the text-to-speech voice. (A review of the complete book would also be nice to have!) Available formats include mp3, mp4 (both large file sizes), and m4b (iTunes audiobook, a much smaller file size). Please let me know if you’re interested in participating. Thanks!

    1. Yes please! I love audio books. I have keratakonus an eye ailment that is slowly taking my vision away. I haven’t heard one for five years, I remember I think author James Rollins offered a free copy of one of his titles back then. I am a fast reader, it’s my luxury in life as a mom of two boys. I always provide reviews on everything I read, I find it very important both for the author and readers. Thank you! Colleen
