Today is day 1 of my new life of no smoking, a gift my now ten year old asked me to give him for his birthday. Stop smoking. So I’m keeping it real and honest and posting it along with the other things I post. I’m human. Quitting cold turkey is hard but I love my children. And I will honor this promise.

I’ve never smoked, but I grew up in a smoking household, and my father died prematurely from heart disease, so I believe I may understand what this means to your son; also, as a retired healthcare professional, I can imagine how challenging your decision to quit smoking may feel. Hold on tight to your love for and from your children. It will get you through.
